Rappahannock: Mothers & Babies - November 12, 2024

NOV 12, 2024
9:00 am EST

Mothers and Babies is an evidence-based program that has been highlighted as one of the most effective interventions for the prevention of postpartum depression and has a proven record of success. It is guided by cognitive behavioral therapy and attachment theory, and is designed to be provided by home visitors as an enhancement to the home visiting services already provided in the home. Additionally, there is an option to provide this enhancement as a group intervention rather than 1 on 1 in the home. Mothers & Babies is a great resource for parents experiencing mild to moderate depression. Mothers & Babies equips staff with a curriculum and tools to support mothers experiencing depression AND it counts as a completed referral for MIECHV programs. Attendees of this event will be trained in the implementation of the Mothers & Babies intervention. Additionally, all programs who attend will have the opportunity to receive voluntary on-going implementation TA support for 6+ months.
