POSTPONED: Parent Survey for Community Outreach (PSCO): April 6-9, 2020

Healthy Families of Virginia in partnership with Families Forward Virginia present Parent Survey for Community Outreach (PSCO) formerly known as FRS Core. Developed by Great Kids, Inc., PSCO/FRS Core training is designed for those who will fill the role of Family Resource Specialist/Family Assessment Worker and their supervisors. Trainees learn how to incorporate a strength-based, relationship-focused assessment process into their work using the Kempe Family Stress Checklist (Parent Survey). The focus is on promoting the assessment process as a unique service rather than as simply an eligibility tool. Each person has the opportunity to practice a parent survey and will be asked to send two completed parent surveys to the trainer for review following training. Training for all participants is from April 6-9, 2020 while supervisors are required to attend the full week of April 6-10, 2020. Supervisors will need to complete both this regular participant registration as well as supervisor registration for the extra day. Training will take place from 8:30am-4:30pm each day at the Families Forward Virginia office located at 8100 Three Chopt Rd., Suite 212, Richmond, VA 23229. The trainer facilitating the course is Laura Shoaf. Cost for training for all participants for the four day course is $540 per person and an extra $50 for supervisors only for the five day course. A training manual is included in the registration cost and is required to purchase. Snacks and drinks are complimentary while lunch is not provided. All hotel costs, travel arrangements, and meals are the responsibility of the local site. The registration and cancellation deadline is March 23, 2020. Invoices are available upon request.
