- Understand key pregnancy-related risk factors and how these risk factors impact maternal and infant health
- Understand community resources that provide health services and support to pregnant individuals and families
- Understand the elements of an effective referral and support parents in coordinating the variety of services they may need in the presence of one or more risk factors, and
- Understand and identify barriers to services, gaps in available services, and support parents by working collaboratively to diminish barriers
