Home Visiting 102: Skills and Strategies for Successful Home Visits



This 30-minute training explores the daily activities of Family Support Professionals (FSPs) and describes skills that can improve an FSP's effectiveness: taking a strengths-based approach, using strategies for parent support, and the importance of effective communication skills.

  • Various strategies for effectively eliciting information from parents
  • The role of the Family Support Professional  
  • Specific needs and learning styles of each family
