SWWD 101: Home Visiting I (2023 Update) (1 credit hour)

This course provides the foundational knowledge for Family Support professionals on home visiting and developing relationships with families that are informed by the multiple, intersectional issues that families face. Topics will include: Prenatal Basics, Child Development, and Child Abuse and Neglect. Personal Safety for Home Visitors has been removed and replaced with the new module Practicing Personal Safety While Partnering With Families.

SWWD 102: Home Visiting II (2023 Update) (1 credit hour)

Building on the foundational skills, this course will provide extended knowledge in the areas of Breastfeeding, Risks of Substance Use, and Confidentiality. Family Support Professionals will gain the knowledge necessary to support families beyond basic needs to essential life skills. Staying Safe While Supporting Families and the Confidentiality for the Family Support Professional series have been removed and replaced by the new module Confidentiality: The Bridge of Trust.

SWWD 110: Supervision for Family Support Professionals (1 credit hour)

This course focuses on skills for supporting Family Support Professionals in the practice of early intervention services. Supervisors will gain knowledge in the areas of cultural diversity, ethics, and professional development.
