Parent Survey for Community Outreach (PSCO)/FRS Core SUPERVISORS ONLY: November 8, 2019

Healthy Families of Virginia in partnership with Families Forward Virginia present Parent Survey for Community Outreach (PSCO)/FRS Core. Developed by Great Kids, Inc., PSCO/FRS Core training is designed for those who will fill the role of Family Resource Specialist/Family Assessment Worker and their supervisors. Trainees learn how to incorporate a strength-based, relationship-focused assessment process into their work using the Kempe Family Stress Checklist (Parent Survey). The focus is on promoting the assessment process as a unique service rather than as simply an eligibility tool. Each person has the opportunity to practice a parent survey and will be asked to send two completed parent surveys to the trainer for review following training. Supervisors are required to attend and register for an extra day of training on November 8, 2019 in addition to November 4-7, 2019. Training will take place from 8:30am-4:30pm at the Families Forward Virginia office located at 8100 Three Chopt Rd., Suite 212, Richmond, VA 23229. The trainer facilitating the course is Laura Shoaf. Cost for this extra training day is $50 for supervisors. A training manual is included in the registration cost and is required to purchase. Snacks and drinks are complimentary while lunch is not provided. All hotel costs, travel arrangements, and meals are the responsibility of the local site. The registration and cancellation deadline is October 21, 2019. Invoices are available upon request. Unless there is an emergency, full refunds will only be issued with a cancellation of 14 days in advance of the training date.
