VIRTUAL: Working with Pregnant and Parenting Teens 3/1/2023 & 3/2/2023 (Virginia Home Visitors ONLY)

MAR 01, 2023
9:00 am EST

The training takes place from 9:00-12:00 on BOTH days, March 1st and 2nd. The Zoom link for this virtual training will be provided several days prior to the training.

As a home visitor, it is important to understand how to work with pregnant and parenting teens in a culturally competent, developmentally appropriate and engaging way. This training offers information on pregnancy statistics, health inequities, progression of adolescent development, mental health and self-care considerations for an adolescent and an opportunity to incorporate best practices into your work with adolescents and emerging adults.  Providers will receive practical ways to conceptualize and implement interventions geared toward pregnant and parenting teens.
This training is intended for staff who maintain a caseload and have been in their position for at least 3 months, or for supervisors.

If for any reason you cannot attend this training ahead of the specified date, please cancel your registration or email sshelton@earlyimpactva.org prior to the start time.
